I always forget this was shot in Toronto. It feels European to me. Getting one shoe in the door was my initial narrative here. It reminded me of the job hunt. When I noticed the blood splatter on the wall that story changed. I imagined a girl ducking into a doorway during a shooting. I chose the other angle because it combined the two stories. A girl shot herself in the foot, sabotaging her chances of getting both feet in the door of a coveted job interview.
